Acupuncture
Acupuncture works through the activation of "points" along pathways called acupuncture meridians. If you think of an acupuncture meridian as a conduit, similar to that of a blood vessel which transports fluid, it may be easier to understand. There are twelve primary meridians which flow throughout the body covering all major areas of the torso, arms and legs. The meridians flow one into the other, with the last one then circling back to connect with the first. These paths ensure an even flow of a substance called “chi” throughout all areas of the body. The term chi translates as energy or “Life Force”. When the chi is flowing freely the body is healthy.
Cupping
Cupping is the inverse of massage. Rather than applying pressure to muscles, the suction uses pressure to pull skin, tissue and muscles upward. We often combine cupping and acupuncture in one treatment, but it can also be used alone. There are five meridian lines on the back, and these are where the cups are usually placed. Using these points, cupping can help to align and relax Chi (Life Force Energy), as well as target more specific disorders or imbalances. Cupping has numerous benefits — it can help remove toxins from the body and stimulate the flow of fresh blood, lymph, and Chi to the affected area and throughout the body. It often works well for patients with the flu, colds, coughs, back and muscle pain, poor circulation, anxiety, red itchy skin conditions, allergies, fevers, aches and a myriad other pains.
Electrical Stimulation
Wound Healing, Detoxification, Plantar Fascitis, Low Back Pain, Breaking-up Scar Tissue, Weight-Loss, and Tight muscles all respond well to electrical stimulation. Microcurrent and Microlight work to relieve blockage and pain, similar to acupuncture, by clearing stagnation and poor circulation of blood and Chi (vital energy). Another effect of microcurrent is the reduction of electrical resistance in the areas and pathways of the body where it is applied. Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the burning of mugwort, a small, spongy herb, to facilitate healing. Moxibustion has been used throughout Asia for thousands of years. The purpose of moxibustion, as with most forms of traditional Chinese medicine, is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of Chi, and maintain general health.

This is an excellent treatment option for Children and Adults with an aversion to needles! Coming from the field of modern biophysics, Acu-Color Meridian Therapy combines concepts of acupuncture with the latest research on the way light functions in the body. Colorpuncture achieves this by introducing vibrational information into the body in the form of different colored light frequencies via the meridian system. For these treatments, a hand-held aculight pen with insertable colored glass tips is used. The tool emits incandescent light and is battery-operated. Each colored tip is precisely set at a specific frequency within the frequency band for each color.
